NANIHI NecklaceT

This amazing necklace is a great example of the innovative pairing of diverse natural materials that Soraya, Tahiti's rising-star designer, is known for. The necklace is made from brown leather cord strung with 15-16mm round reddish-hued wooden beads in random numbers intermixed with 11-12mm cultured Tahitian black pearls in random numbers. The necklace features 20 pearls in total. The pearls used in this necklace display a variety of colors ranging from green to silver to aubergine (purplish) to dark grey with hints of copper and blue. All the pearls chosen for this necklace also display a shape characteristic prominent with Tahitian pearls known as cirćle which, as one might guess, is one or more circling lines around the entire circumference of the pearl. Many people feel that this feature of Tahitian pearls adds character and interest value to their beauty. This necklace is 25" (63.5cm) expandable to 27" (68.5cm) and can be worn long or doubled up to create a dramatic two-strand necklace of varying lengths. The necklace has no clasp it is designed like a lei that fits over the head. The name given this necklace; "Nanihi", in Tahitian means; "A complete woman". We aren't sure if this necklace will "complete" you, but at least it might move you in that direction.
